Active 20-30 is a 501-c(3) nonprofit of young adults who participate in volunteer activities that improve the lives of underserved children in the D.C. Metro Area. Besides doing good, members also gain leadership experience and form friendships with other members who share a desire to help the local community.

Join Active 20-30 on April 1 for their 1st Annual Gala at the Bennett Park Art Atrium in upper Rosslyn. Come to the gala to learn more about the organization and how to help. You will also enjoy open bar and food and have the chance to get to know members and other young adults interested in volunteer opportunities, including several who are from Arlington and Rosslyn.

The cost of a ticket is $45 for adults in their 20s and 30s who are potential members and $75 for others. All proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit D.C. area youth. Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire.

Examples of Active 20-30's recent projects include:

  • Donating hundreds of bilingual library books to the library at D.C. charter preschool CentroNía, which serves more than 2,400 low-income children and families in the District
  • Transforming a rugged patch of lawn at Harmony Elementary in Washington, D.C., into a learning garden (pictured)
