Rosslyn, VA - The Rosslyn Business Improvement District is holding a Neighborhood Day Celebration for the Rosslyn Community on Saturday, May 16 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the WRIT Gallery and Atrium at 1601 Clarendon Boulevard.
The Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights and North Rosslyn Civic Associations will join the Rosslyn BID for the free community event. The celebration will take place at one of the newest public spaces in Rosslyn, the WRIT Gallery and Atrium. The Neighborhood Day event will give residents a chance to spend time in the community space which features three impressive pieces of public art.
The event includes a spring planting activity for children. Brickman, the landscape company hired by the Rosslyn BID to beautify the urban district, is providing the pots and plants.
“The Rosslyn Neighborhood Day Celebration brings together some of the best of what Rosslyn has to offer to our residents - food from our restaurants, live music, and a venue that features museum quality public art, “ says Rosslyn BID Executive Director Cecilia Cassidy.
“What a delight for the two Rosslyn area civic associations to be working with the Rosslyn BID on a community-building event,” says North Rosslyn Civic Association President Mark Antell.
The Rosslyn Neighborhood Celebration is part of Arlington County Neighborhood Day. Created in 1997 as a way to build community, Neighborhood Day was first proposed by former Arlington County Board Member Ellen Bozman.
