Conservation Fund Panel on the Sense of Sustainability

Release Date: Thursday, April 16th 2009

ROSSLYN, VA – The 2009 Rosslyn Renaissance Rooms With A View lecture series continues on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. when The Conservation Fund’s Vice President for Sustainable Programs, Erik Meyers, leads a panel discussion about how a sustainability strategy can make dollars and sense, even in the middle of a recession.

The “Rooms With A View” Lecture Series, now in its 18th year, is a networking affair that focuses on the most interesting aspects of living and working in Rosslyn.

This event gives attendees access to Rosslyn’s newest “Room With a View,” the Corporate Executive Board’s Waterview Conference Center on the 24th floor of 1919 N. Lynn Street.  The space offers a breathtaking view of Rosslyn, the Potomac River and Theodore Roosevelt Island – a perfect setting to talk about the environment. Meyers will moderate the panel – Sharon Kneiss, V.P. of the American Chemistry Council and Mari Snyder, V.P. for Social Responsibility and Community Engagement for Marriott – who will discuss their companies’ pioneering ‘green initiatives.’

The final “Rooms with A View” event will feature Rosslyn’s award-winning Synetic Theater which will hold an open rehearsal as it prepares for opening night of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The event will take place Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre, located at 1611 N. Kent Street.

The three-part series is made possible by the generous donations of sponsors Monday Properties and The Boeing Company.
