“Rooms With A View” Lecture Series Offers Insight on Politics, the Environment, and the Arts

ROSSLYN, VA – President Barack Obama’s first 60 days in office is the topic for the first 2009 Rosslyn Renaissance’s “Rooms With A View” Lecture Series. The lecture will be held Thursday, March 26 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Boeing Conference Center at 1200 Wilson Blvd in Rosslyn.
Politico reporters Mike Allen and Jonathan Martin will analyze the Obama Administration’s kickoff and the ripple effect it is having throughout Washington and beyond the Beltway. The event begins the18th annual lecture series by giving attendees access to two of Washington’s top political journalists whose reporting is seen in the Rosslyn-based Politico. This networking affair focuses on the most interesting aspects of living and working in Rosslyn.
The 2009 lecture series continues on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. when The Conservation Fund’s Vice President for Sustainable Programs, Erik Meyers, leads a panel discussion about how a sustainability strategy can make dollars and sense, even in the middle of a recession. This lecture will be held in one of Rosslyn’s newest “rooms with a view,” The Waterview Conference Center at 1919 N. Lynn Street.
The final “Rooms with A View” event will share the arts in Rosslyn as Rosslyn’s award-winning Synetic Theater shares an open rehearsal as it prepares for opening night of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The event will take place Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre located at 1611 N. Kent Street.
