Release Date: Thursday, September 30th 2010

Rosslyn, VA – The Rosslyn BID has named John J. Healy, a Certified Association Executive, to the newly-created position of Rosslyn BID Deputy Executive Director. He joined the BID Team in September.

Healy comes to the Rosslyn BID with 25+ years of association management experience and a track record of innovation, leading organizational change, and creating greater customer and stakeholder value. “We are pleased to welcome John on board. He is the consummate business leader who has the energy, passion and practical experience to help the BID move forward to the next level of service to our stakeholders,” stated Rosslyn BID Executive Director Cecilia Cassidy. “With his ‘can do’ disciplined approach to growing organizations in complex environments, he is the perfect choice as we enter this new era. He joins us just in time for the opening of Artisphere, and construction starting at 1812 North Moore Street and the Rosslyn Metro Station – a perfect opportunity to capitalize on his talents,” Cassidy concluded.

Over his career, Healy has served as CEO of four national trade associations including those representing the grain industry, the insurance and financial services industry, the machine tool industry, and the pallet industry. His private sector experience also includes service as a senior global executive with a publicly-held multinational logistics and supply chain service provider based in Munich, Germany. When Healy headed the pallet association, he relocated their corporate offices to Rosslyn.

"I am pleased to return to Rosslyn at this important time in its rich history, and am extremely energized to be working with such a dedicated team of professionals who are deeply committed to improving the quality of life for Rosslyn’s residents and workers alike. The BID is ideally positioned to capitalize on Rosslyn’s assets. As a member of its management team, I look forward to working with our stakeholders, and listening to their ideas about the opportunities they believe lie ahead to make Rosslyn an even more inviting, vibrant and compelling place to live, work, play and visit,” Healy commented.
