Rosslyn BID Names Sandra Buchko as New Operations Director

Rosslyn, VA – The Rosslyn BID has named Sandra Buchko, a real estate attorney and former commercial real estate leasing executive, to the position of BID Operations Director. She officially joined the staff July 27. 
"Sandra is a rare find. She is the perfect addition to our team at a time when Rosslyn is on the precipice of major development and poised to become the premiere business address in the Washington Metropolitan region,” says Rosslyn BID Executive Director Cecilia Cassidy.
Ms. Buchko was most recently an associate with Arent Fox, where she specialized in hotel and commercial real estate transactions, including office and retail leasing, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, and financing. She is also currently affiliated with the law firm of Real Estate Counselors, PLLC, where she will remain Of Counsel.

Prior to law school, Ms. Buchko spent 13 years in commercial real estate as a retail leasing specialist, spending the majority of her career specializing in shopping centers. She began her real estate career as a broker at Smithy Braedon in 1987 and was a Regional Leasing Director for Konover Property Trust, one of the largest shopping center developers in the Southeast, immediately prior to starting law school in 2000.
Ms. Buchko received her B.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Virginia in 1985 and her J.D. in 2003 from Campbell University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She also attended Vanderbilt University in Aix-en-Provence, France in 1984. Ms. Buchko is a member of the Virginia and the District of Columbia Bars and the American Bar Association. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
