Rosslyn BID Partners with WALKArlington for Tour of Rosslyn on June 5

Rosslyn, VA - The Rosslyn Business Improvement District is joining with WALKArlington to host an official Arlington County Walkabout on Friday, June 5 from 6 – 7 p.m. The approximately one-mile walking tour will begin and end at Gateway Park at the foot of Key Bridge
County Board Chairman Barbara Favola will lead the tour through Rosslyn’s urban center, past the future sites of some of the region’s tallest buildings, the third steepest escalator in the world, and cutting-edge public art. The event is open to walkers of all ages.
“The walkabout is another opportunity to “Discover Rosslyn” and the 100 free events we’re running this summer. After the guided tour, people can join the crowd to watch the movie “Weird Science”. The movie is part of our “I Love the 80s” Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival,” says Rosslyn BID Executive Director Cecilia Cassidy.
WALKArlington Coordinator Lauren Hassel chose Rosslyn as one of two official County walkabouts this year. “Rosslyn has so much to discover. The Walkabout route includes ten different stops that highlight Rosslyn’s unique past, the exciting present and skyrocketing future. And it’s all free!” says Hassel.
