The donations will be given to the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network (A-SPAN) who will distribute the items to the homeless. A-SPAN has a wish list for the clothing drive. A-SPAN Executive Director Kathleen Sibert says, “We have found that at this time of year coats, hats, gloves, socks and sleeping bags are especially needed. In the past the Rosslyn community has helped “light up the lives” of the homeless in Arlington. We are counting on the community to fill an even greater need this year.”

Rosslyn BID Executive Director Cecilia Cassidy is excited that this effort is entering its fourth year. “Last year 1400 items were donated. This shows how Rosslyn residents, workers, and the business community can come together to help those in need,” says Cassidy.

The clothing drive ends December 4 at the LIGHT UP Rosslyn, Light Up a Life Ceremony where the Rosslyn skyline lights are turned on, signaling the beginning of the holiday season.
