Rosslyn, VA - The Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) and Rosslyn Renaissance are taking part in PARK(ing) Day, an international event where the community transforms some of its metered parking spaces into temporary parks for the day.
On Friday, September 17, the Rosslyn BID will enhance two parking spaces at 1101 Wilson Boulevard, in front of Artisphere, Arlington's Cultural Center opening 10.10.10. The spaces will include a Broadway runway model, participatory art, professional dancers and music! The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
PARK(ing) Day, founded in 2005, has blossomed into a worldwide grassroots movement: PARK(ing) Day 2009 included more than 700 “PARK” installations in more than 140 cities in 21 countries on six continents.
