The National Chamber Ensemble celebrates the bicentennial of these two major classical composers who were both pioneers of romanticism. Robert Schumann and Frederic Chopin were born in 1810. Each of the two was acutely aware of the other's artistic presence, and they remained supportive of one another throughout their careers. This performance is presented in part by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington D.C.
