PIOLA RESTAURANT PROUDLY ANNOUNCES A WORLD WITH MORE BIRTHDAYS HAPPY HOUR


On Tuesday, October 12, 2010, Piola Restaurant and Team Lombardi Labs proudly present a Happy Hour to raise funds for the American Cancer Society MAKING STRIDES TOWARD A WORLD WITH MORE BIRTHDAYS Breast Cancer Fundraising initiative.
 

Come join in support of Team Lombardi Labs from Georgetown University and the American Cancer Society from 5:00 pm until 9:00 for a social get together to benefit strides in affecting the causes and cures of breast cancer. Piola will donate a portion of the proceeds generated at the Bar to the American Cancer Society. Everyone will enjoy happy hour specials and free Hors D’oeuvres from 5:00pm through 8:00pm. Piola is located at 1550 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, VA. a short walk from the Rosslyn Metro station.
 

Breast cancer affects men and women worldwide; nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease - more than 25 million people worldwide have been diagnosed. The American Cancer Society (ACS) has already made history by establishing mammography as the gold standard for early cancer detection, funded research that has lead to discovery of life-saving treatments and drugs to reduce breast cancer recurrence. Tuesday, October 12 will be dedicated to raising proceeds to assist in access to mammograms, providing rides to medical appointments, keeping phone lines open to answer questions, and funding critical research. Team Lombardi Labs will be walking in the ACS Making Strides event on October 30 in DC on the National Mall.
