It is one of the region's highest rated music events!

The Rosslyn Jazz Festival takes place in Gateway Park, Just across Key Bridge from Washington, DC. This popular festival, is sponsored by the Rosslyn BID and Rosslyn Renaissance, and co-presented with Arlington County Cultural Affairs, is free to the public.

2011 Performers:

Last year’s headliner was Dee Dee Bridgewater,
multiple Grammy winner and Tony-winning vocalist.
 

Other featured performers included:

W.C. Handy “Best Blues Instrumentalist in Piano” award
nominee Henry Butler.
 
Three-time winner of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award 
Grace Kelly.
 
Washington, D.C.’s own Al Williams Quartet with guest vocalist 
Juanita Williams opened the festival.

The Rosslyn Jazz Festival has featured national acts such as Joe Henderson, Dave Valentine, Larry Coryell, James Moody, Nnenna Freelon and Ahmad Jamal, as well as favorite regional artists Juanita Williams, the late Charlie Byrd, Tim Eyermann and many others. A Street Festival is located on Lee Highway and features both food and artisan vendors.

2011's festival drew more than 5,000 people who supported the event and enjoyed performances from Afro Bop Alliance, 2008 Latin Grammy winning/Grammy nominees; Jason Moran & the Bandwagon, Triple Downbeat 'Rising Star' winner; The Bad Plus, Explosive indie-rock & Jazz fusion band; and the Tierney Sutton Band, two-time Grammy nominated vocalist & ensemble.

Gateway Park is just two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro at 1300 Lee Highway, at the foot of Key Bridge.

Festival parking is available for $5 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at 1911 N. Fort Myer Drive. The parking entrance is on N. Moore Street.
