  • Waterview - The County Board approved in May 2002 a change in the Waterview project being developed by JBG/TrizecHahn. The amended Site Plan calls for a 611,946 square foot office building, 7,180 square feet of retail space, a 160-room boutique hotel and 185 luxury apartments. The project was designed by the architectural firm of Pei/Cobb/Freed. There is no current date for the start of construction. (N. 19th and Lynn Streets) Website: www.theonlyview.com

  • Rosslyn Metro Center Building II - The Clover Companies plan to construct an expansion of the Rosslyn Metro Center building, with the new space to be built over the Metro station. The project will include 254,536 square feet of office space and 12,368 square feet of retail space. The project, the first proposed under the recently adopted C-O-Rosslyn zoning category, was approved by the County Board in January 1998. (Moore Street above the Rosslyn Metro station)

  • Eighteen 81 - The Curtis/Facchina site plan to construct a 300 foot tall residential tower with 176 luxury condominium units was approved in June 2001. The project provides 419 parking spaces and 209 bicycle/storage units. (Fort Myer Drive at Nash Street) Website: turnberrytowerarlington.com

  • Central Place - JBG Companies have filed a site plan for a portion of Central Place. The site plan proposes a phase one residential with 414 rental apartments and 84 condominiums. A total of 42,145 square feet of retail spaces would be developed. The phase two plan will be submitted at a later date. The applicant is working with County staff on a refined design concept for the project. (North Lynn, North Moore and 19th Streets and Wilson Boulevard)

  • 1101 Lee Highway Residential Site Plan - A site plan has been filed for a 26,555 square foot parcel known as the Schlafman site. Located between I-66 and the George Washington Parkway, the site has difficult access. Presently zoned S-3A, the site plan requests C-O-2.5 zoning that would allow a 16-story residential tower with 60 units. The site was originally acquired by the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1965 for I-66 right-of-way, but was reconveyed to the previous owner in 1998.

  • WRIT Rosslyn Center Residential - The County Board approved in July 2002 a new 15-story high rise residential building at the corner of Clarendon Boulevard and N. Pierce Street filed by Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRIT). The building will contain 178 units and will include a 3,500 square foot glass enclosed art atrium. A mid-rise apartment building, 9-stories containing 46 units, will replace the 7-11 on Wilson Boulevard. The mid-rise building will contain 14 affordable units and 4,800 square feet of retail space.

  • Air Force Association Building - The Airforce Association received approval in May 2002 from the County Board for a 17,531 square foot addition to their existing building at 1501 Lee Highway. The present building was developed in 1984. (Lee Highway at North Oak Street)

  • 1800 Wilson Boulevard Residential/Retail - The site plan filed on the Sarris site by Holladay Corporation for 153 apartment units and 5,758 square feet of retail space was approved by the County Board in June 2003. The total gross square foot is 192,828. The 1.43 acre site is currently occupied by a used car lot. This site is located in the "in-between" area between Courthouse and Rosslyn Metro stations.   • Rosslyn Ridge Residential Site Plan - Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing has filed a revised site plan utilizing density from Hillside Park and the adjoining property. The preliminary plan called for a 20-story building with 267 apartments. One-half of the units would be affordable units. It is anticipated that the project will move to the County Board in March 2004. (N. Pierce and N. 16th Road)

  • Bromptons at Monument Place - Bromptons II, LLC has completed 15 townhouses at 1401 North Nash Street. The townhouse units range in size from 3,500 square feet to 5,800 square feet. The site area totals 33,541 square feet. Bromptons II, LLC is a partnership between the Ed Peete Company and the Smith Development Company, Inc.

  • Bromptons at Rosslyn - The Ed Peete Company has completed construction of 19 townhouses at the corner of North Quinn Street and Clarendon Boulevard. The site area totals 29,729 square feet.
