Sneak Peek: Central Place Residential Tower

A week after the concrete was poured for the top floor of the Central Place residential tower in Downtown Rosslyn, The JBG Companies and Clark Construction treated the Rosslyn BID team to a hard-hat tour.
Although the residential tower is still a busy construction site, the dramatic, 360-degree views it offers of Washington, D.C., and the Potomac are truly breathtaking.
Matt Ginivan, JBG's vice president, development, says the 31-story residential tower will be completed during the first quarter of 2017. It will have 377 residential units with floor-to-ceiling windows, including two luxurious duplex units offering the building's most impressive views. Central Place will also have amenity suites with lounges, a library, a spectacular pool and an expansive sundeck featuring private cabanas and outdoor fire pits.
"This is going to be the perfect place to view July 4th fireworks," Ginivan said.
At the ground level, Central Place will offer more than 40,000 square feet of retail, including a number of new sit-down dining options for the neighborhood that will be announced soon. A 15,000 square-foot public plaza with dramatic water features, seating and shade trees will be completed in 2017, around the same time that the residential tower is ready. Ginivan said leasing of residential units will begin in early 2017.
Meanwhile, the companion business tower, CEB Tower at Central Place, is expected to be finished at a later date. At 390 feet tall, the office tower will be the tallest mixed-used development in the Washington, D.C., area. It will include a public observation deck for the use of tenants and visitors alike.
