See the Big Blooms around Rosslyn!

Spring showers bring big flowers — and a chance to win!

You might've seen some big things sprouting around the neighborhood! We’ve set up Big Blooms to welcome you to Rosslyn for the spring season.

At each flower installation station listed below, there will be a pink circle with a QR code to scan with your phone's camera for an Instagram filter to help you show off your #RosslynRefresh pictures while the installations are up through Friday, May 20!

When you share your photo with the hashtag, you'll also be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant of your choice. We'll be awarding a gift card every week, so make sure to post often! Winners will be notified every Monday through May 30 for pictures posted the week prior.

And while you're out and about in the neighborhood, check out all the restaurants currently open in the area from our directory!

More Rosslyn Refresh activities to "spring" into the season

Our Big Blooms aren't the only things popping up around the neighborhood! Check out our additional spring programming happening in Rosslyn:

  • Flower Market | Saturdays, April 23, April 30, & May 7: Ranging from bouquets to natural body products, the Flower Market will bring 12 vendors to Central Place Plaza on Saturdays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Flower Cart | April 20 & 26: As always, the Rosslyn Trike is ready with community giveaways for the season. This time, the Flower Cart will join it with an assortment of flowers that are shovel ready for your garden.
  • FRESHFARM Rosslyn Farmers Market | Wednesdays, beginning May 18: FRESHFARM will bring their market of local vendors back to Central Place Plaza every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.

Central Place Plaza

by Rosslyn Metro Station

We've already done the hard gardening work for you, so take a seat in our wheel barrow and enjoy! Don't worry about the beehive. Our flowers, insects, and lovely butterflies are waiting to surround you in springtime bliss.

Gateway Park

along Lynn Street, between Langston Blvd

The sunflowers at Gateway Park welcome you to the neighborhood after a short walk across Key Bridge. And they'll be here when you start your trek to Georgetown. Come back at night to enjoy the glow of the Luminous Bodies.

Freedom Park Bridge

along Lynn Street

Walking over from the Netherlands Carillon and Marine Corps War Memorial? Take in the large flowers lining both sides of the Freedom Park Bridge. They sprouted from a vine running up its pillar.

Wilson Blvd/Pierce Street bus stop

by the Heights Building School

Sunflowers have sprouted on Arlington's unique floating bus stop. Take them in while you wait for the city's chariot to whisk you away to your next spring time destination.

Around the Neighborhood

find them by bus stops and busy intersections

Take a stroll through the neighborhood and find flowers all across Rosslyn! Just because they're alone, doesn't mean they're lonely. They're meant to remind you that there's always time to stop and take in the sunshine.
