H-B Woodlawn gets in the spring spirit

Local students create handmade floral art installation

For the last several weeks, students at H-B Woodlawn have been hard at work creating a quilted flower installation to hang in their hallway as we welcomed spring into our neighborhood!

Over 75 middle school students made their own crochet pieces, working together to determine how to assemble them all into one piece. They then figured out how to display the large collection in the lobby of their building. You can see the full installation through the glass lobby of The Heights Building along 1601 Wilson Blvd.

Additionally, May 1-7 was Teacher Appreciation Week, so we stopped by the school to help celebrate local teachers by handing out fresh florals from our flower cart to kick off their school day. Thank you to our teachers and students for all they do to make our neighborhood great!
