Major Site Plan Amendment, SP #335
This major site plan amendment will transform the core of Rosslyn.
The entire Central Place block, between Lynn and Moore streets, will become a hub of pedestrian activity. The County Board approval includes Virginia’s first public observation deck a-top the office tower with unprecedented, 360-degree views on the Washington DC Monuments and landmark features.
The proposal includes one office tower and one residential tower with first and second floor retail throughout the project. The buildings set a new height limit of 490 feet above sea level for the core of Rosslyn. Between them, a public plaza will be the center of activity with outdoor café/entertainment space and three high-speed Metro elevators for direct access to the Rosslyn Station. In addition, two elevators from the plaza level will access the observation deck.. This open space civic plaza provides through-block connection between N. Lynn and N. Moore Streets and the Metro.
The Central Place proposal was a major planning undertaking that has been in the public process since 2000. Rosslyn Renaissance has worked with the applicant and the County throughout the process on a design concept consistent with the redevelopment goals envisioned in the Rosslyn Plan Addendum, and by the community, contributing major amenities and benefits to Rosslyn, and, Rosslyn Renaissance is now participating in the post-approval management plan process for these amenities. The Rosslyn community now looks forward to the construction of this key project!
The project incorporates the entire Central Place block, bound by N. Lynn, N. Moore, and 19th Streets, into the approved Site Plan # 335, for 1801/1735 N. Lynn Street.
