With convenient public transportation, fine dining, diverse entertainment and strong sense of community, it is no surprise that Rosslyn is the popular place to call home for young professionals, families and empty nesters alike. It all adds to the liveliness and diversity of the neighborhood.
More than 9,000 people rent or own in Rosslyn, and that number continues to grow every day. Nearly 600 new housing units have opened in the last year and more than 500 more are under construction. Of these, 9.5% will be “affordable”. Developers have also contributed $7,989,608 to Arlington County’s Affordable Housing fund as a community benefit since 2005.
Like the old “Blue Bus”, the Circulator runs every 10 minutes and costs just $1
On August 27, 2010 DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and Arlington County Board Chairman Jay Fisette were joined by other dignitaries on the Georgetown Waterfront to announce the new DC Circulator line linking Rosslyn, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle. The Circulator’s Rosslyn stop is at N. Moore and N. 19th Street, just across N. 19th Street from the old Blue Bus stop.
