Join one of Arlington County’s public artists in residence, Graham Coreil-Allen, for a free Rosslyn Public Art Talk on the annual Dark Star Park Day. Public art helps give a community a sense of place, yet often even longtime locals may not know the story behind the artworks. During this brief talk, Coreil-Allen will share details about Dark Star Park and artist Nancy Holt. Learn about her process for creating the dramatic shadow alignment that occurs every year at the park on August 1 at 9:32 a.m. and then watch it take place right before your eyes!
This Rosslyn Public Art Talk is presented by Arlington Arts, the Rosslyn BID and WalkArlington.
The talk will take place rain, cloud or shine.
*Note: The Walking Tour has reached it's capacity with 30 participants and can no longer accept registrations. We encourage you to join Graham at Dark Star Park at 9:15am for a talk that is open to the public. No registration required.
