Join the Rosslyn BID for the first pop-up performance of the September series, featuring Crush Funk Brass Band!

On September 8, we're bringing jazz back to the neighborhood in the first of a series of performances, culminating in our annual Jazz Fest celebration on Saturday, September 18.

DC's own Crush Funk Brass Band will give a pop-up performance live from the Rosslyn Farmers Market on Central Place Plaza and 1401 Wilson Park on Wednesday, September 8, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye out for fun giveaways from the Rosslyn Trike while you're there, courtesy of the Rosslyn BID! (First come, first served!)

See where and when to find the band in the neighborhood on September 8 below:

  • Central Place Plaza | 4:30-5:15 p.m.
  • 1401 Wilson Blvd Park | 5:45-6:30 p.m

The pop-ups are free to attend and open to all ages. Learn more about pop-up performances like this and more as we kick off a series of events celebrating jazz music, right here in Rosslyn, from our webpage. And remember to use hashtag #RosslynJazz when posting about your experience!

About the Band:

The Crush Funk Brass Band is a brilliant, innovative group of young musicians hailing from Washington DC. Comprised of alums from The University of The District of Columbia, Bowie State University, and Howard University. Influenced by all genres of music, the band’s style is unique, embodying the brass tones of New Orleans, with an Urban Capital City modern pop-fun(k) twist. The mission of the band is simple: “To bring life to the city through music where least expected, to enrich the lives of others and to continue growing and striving for high musical excellence.”

The band has appeared on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Good Morning America, NBC, ABC, CBS , The Washington Post and WPFW.  For more information and a full bio, visit
