Arlington's Outdoor Book Festival is back this year on Bring your Kids to Work Day!
There's something for everyone at the Rosslyn Reads! Book Festival. The Rosslyn BID is excited to partner for the second year with Carpe Librum and the Arlington Public Library to bring this pop-up bookstore to the neighborhood for a one-day event.
Have fun browsing thousands of used books, CDs, and DVDs for sale on Central Place Plaza. Prices range from just $1-$8 (+taxes). All proceeds go to Turning the Page, a nonprofit organization that helps ensure students receive educational resources and a high-quality public education.
Carpe Librum runs on donations, so feel free to bring your used books to donate as well!
This year, we are excited to feature award-winning journalist Elaine Weiss, author of The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote. Recently selected by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television for a television series or movie, with Hillary Clinton as executive producer, The Woman’s Hour provides a narrative history of American women’s crusade to obtain the most basic right of democracy: the right to vote.
Join our Book Club Discussion on The Woman's Hour this Thursday, April 11 at Central Coffee Bar from 6-7:30PM! More details and registration here.
