WHAT IS HIIT? HIIT is cardio performed at a more intense level so that your body will spend the rest of the day expending energy to recover from the workout you gave it. This means that you will be burning up to nine times more fat while sitting on the couch later that night than you would have if you'd spent an hour on the treadmill at a moderate pace.

YOUR TRAINER Victor Carcamo, Fitness Guru At-Large Victor holds a degree in Physical Education from Cal State LA. While there, Victor played on both the school's collegiate soccer team and for Sweden's professional team, Lulea FC. Victor has worked as a fitness trainer for LAFC, a soccer club; a trainer for soccer academy AJAX FC; coach of the women's soccer team at Mark Keppel High School; and a personal trainer at Evolution Fitness, all in Los Angeles, CA. Victor also won a Rosslyn Gold's Gym Fitness Challenge in early 2012.

His favorite post-workout recovery is to enjoy a chocolate protein shake. "I'm looking forward to helping everyone improve their health and get in the best shape of their lives, regardless of their current fitness level. We'll work hard and have fun!" says Carcamo.
