Rosslyn BID and Arlington Arts Announce Lineup for Rosslyn Jazz Fest 2025
Arlington's Largest Free Outdoor Music Festival Returns with a Bold Lineup Celebrating Jazz, Funk, and Soul

ROSSLYN, VA (July 9, 2025)— The Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Arlington Arts, is excited to announce the dynamic lineup for the 2025 Rosslyn Jazz Fest, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 1–7 p.m. at Gateway Park (1300 Langston Blvd., Arlington, VA).
Headlining this year’s festival is Grammy-nominated Southern Avenue, the high-voltage, Memphis-based group known for their electrifying blend of blues, soul, and gospel. The band brings its powerhouse vocals and genre-defying energy to the stage following its latest album, Family, on Alligator Records.
Joining Southern Avenue is a standout slate of performers, including:
- New Breed Brass Band – a modern, high-energy New Orleans-style brass band infused with R&B, jazz, funk, and hip-hop.
- The Sensational Barnes Brothers – Soulful siblings who blend old and new sounds rooted in gospel soul.
- Son Cubano Subterraneo – a DC-based group delivering vibrant Latin rhythms.
Back by popular demand, Tommy McFly, beloved local media personality, will return as emcee, bringing his signature charm and energy to guide festivalgoers through a day of world-class performances.
Now in its 33rd year, Rosslyn Jazz Fest continues to be a cultural cornerstone in the DMV, known for curating one of the region’s most progressive lineups in jazz, funk, and soul.
“We are excited to host Rosslyn Jazz Fest every year because music brings people together and strengthens community,” said Mary-Claire Burick, president of the Rosslyn BID. “It’s a full afternoon of unforgettable performances, dancing, local food trucks, and activities for all ages — an experience that reflects the vibrancy and connection we enjoy in Rosslyn.”
“Rosslyn Jazz Fest is more than a music festival — it’s a platform for multicultural expression and emerging talent,” added Josh Stoltzfus, deputy director of Arlington Cultural Affairs. “Each year, we spotlight both globally and locally inspired sounds across jazz, funk, and soul, to celebrate the diversity of Arlington and our neighboring communities — for what we hope is the last and best party of the summer.”
Set against the iconic Rosslyn skyline, Rosslyn Jazz Fest offers the perfect blend of urban energy and park-side relaxation. Attendees can enjoy live music, local food trucks, outdoor bars, games, and family-friendly fun — all for free.
Save the date: Rosslyn Jazz Fest returns Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025. Free admission. Tickets are available starting Friday, Aug. 1. Visit our website for more information and to sign up for early access to tickets: www.rosslynva.org/jazzfest.
