Parking
Parking at Rosslyn Jazz Fest is limited, so we strongly encourage you to take one of the many modes of public transportation that run through Rosslyn.
If you do plan to drive, several parking garages in the neighborhood offer weekend parking. For street parking, refer to Arlington County's Interactive Parking Meter Map. You can conveniently pay for metered parking using ParkMobile, a credit card, or coins.
Public Transportation
The Rosslyn Metro Station is less than a 5-minute walk to Gateway Park, and is served by the Orange, Silver, and Blue Metro lines. There are also numerous buses, including the Arlington ART and Metrobus, that make stops close to the park! Find more public transportation information, including routes and timing, here.
Rideshare
We recommend marking your drop-off location as Roll Play (1800 N. Lynn St.) — it's just one block south of Gateway Park and avoids day-of festival road closures.
Biking, Walking, and More!
For a person-powered option to get to Jazz Fest, grab a bike from Capital Bikeshare and dock at one of our many area bike racks. Rosslyn is also accessible via the Mount Vernon and Custis Trails, making it easy to bike, run, walk, or roll your way to Jazz Fest!
Gateway Park will open for Jazz Fest at 12 p.m. Please enter at Langston & Ft. Myer Drive or Langston and N. Moore Street. The first performer will start at 1 p.m.
Standard lawn chairs and small blankets are permitted. Please be courteous of your neighbors and only occupy enough room for your personal space.
- No tents or golf umbrellas. Personal tote-sized umbrellas are permitted.
- No glass
- No outside alcoholic beverages. (Beer, wine, hard seltzer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at Jazz Fest)
- No open flame or grills
- No balloons, confetti, or fireworks
- No amplified music
- No solicitation, distributing literature, flyers, etc.
- No professional cameras (with a removable lens) or recording devices unless official media or staff
- No laser pointers, weapons, or selfie sticks
- No tobacco products, vapes, or electronic cigarettes. To smoke, please exit Gateway Park away from food trucks and dining areas.
All bags are subject to search. We recommend carrying minimal baggage to ensure maximum fun.
Yes; visit one of bars at Gateway Park where beer, wine, and hard seltzer will be sold! Please enjoy responsibly. Please note, outside alcohol is NOT allowed to be brought in to Jazz Fest.
Food from local Rosslyn restaurants is encouraged! Visit our Dining Page to see nearby restaurants and place an order. Outside alcohol is NOT allowed to be brought in; outside non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Food and drink will be available for purchase at Jazz Fest as well.
Rosslyn Jazz Fest is a cashless event.
Yes; Gateway Park has restrooms, and there will be additional porta-potties on-site. Look for the bright blue restroom flag in the northwest corner of the park.
Well-behaved pets are allowed, but must be on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pet and properly dispose of all pet waste.
Yes! People of all ages can attend this family-friendly event. Loud music is part of the fun — ear protection is encouraged for all!
Limited T-Shirts will be available on-site. Stay tuned for options to purchase shirts online ahead of the event!
Whether you're in the mood for an outdoor patio with an extensive beer and cocktail list, a quick bite to-go, or a food hall with options galore, Rosslyn has what you're looking for! Many restaurants in the area are open until 8 p.m. or later, so check out our dining page to see the selections.
We do not have a specific dress code, but shoes and shirts are required.
During the event, lost and found will be at the Rosslyn BID Event Information Tent, located near the main entrance at the southwest corner of Gateway Park.
After the event, you can email communications@rosslynva.org to see if your lost item has been turned in. Please note: The Rosslyn BID isn’t responsible for lost or stolen items; we will try to reunite you with your belongings if they are turned in.
Yes, the park is for all to enjoy. All entrances to the park are wheelchair accessible, except at the corner of westbound Langston Boulevard & N. Fort Myer Drive. We recommend entering at the main entrance at the corner of eastbound Langston Boulevard & N. Fort Myer Drive.
Capacity numbers will be monitored throughout the day. In the event of reaching capacity, we will stagger entry into the park. This is for the safety and security of all individuals.
Jazz Fest is held rain or shine. In the event of unsafe weather (such as thunder, lightning, high winds, or hail) guests will be encouraged to seek shelter until the weather clears. Performances may be suspended or canceled at the discretion of the event organizer. Please stay connected to our social media (@RosslynVA on Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook) for day-of updates.
Guests must comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and standards of conduct and must behave courteously and respectfully. Guests must abide by instructions provided by venue staff and security personnel regarding all aspects of the event experience. We reserves the right to refuse admission, eject, and/or ban for future events or into perpetuity any person who fails to comply with instructions from venue staff and/or security personnel; whose conduct is, in venue management’s sole discretion, discourteous, disrespectful, and/or unsafe; and/or whose conduct fails to comply with these policies or any of the venue’s other rules, regulations, policies, and standards of conduct.
Rosslyn Safety Rangers and Ambassadors (who will be dressed in purple Rosslyn uniforms) as well as Arlington County Police will be on-site to manage security. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
