Beginning in September, don't miss your chance to "Fall into Fun" here in Rosslyn! This year, we have a great new lineup of events that will get you outside enjoying good times with your friends, colleagues and family. Check out this list and you'll notice that some popular fall offerings are back, such as fitness classes in the park, but that we've also added new activities we haven't tried before, such as Bonfire Concerts and a Rosslyn Harvest Fest. As always, these events are free or low cost. So . . . . mark your calendars: We can't wait to see you there!
Yoga in the Park – Flow into Fall
Tuesdays/6-7:30 p.m./September 19-October 17/Gateway Park East, 1300 Lee Highway
Welcome a new season with a breath of fresh air at our five-week Yoga in the Park series. These 1 1/2 hour classes are suitable for all levels, so everyone is welcome! The cost for all five is just $20 per person. Learn more
Rosslyn Cinema
Fridays/5-11 p.m./September 15-29/Gateway Park East, 1300 Lee Highway
Due to significant interest, we've reschedule three summer Rosslyn Cinema films that were cancelled due to rain. Come to Gateway Park to enjoy Anchorman (September 15), The Lego Batman Movie (September 22) and Golden Eye (September 29). There will be food trucks onsite and our Pub in the Park will be open, too, so you can have a drink before the film. The pub serves beer, wine, sangria and mocktails. Learn more
Bonfire Concerts – Feel the Heat!
Thursdays/6-8 p.m./September 21-October 12/Gateway Park West, 1300 Lee Highway
At this fun and low-key new event, you can take in free live music and hang out by our fire pit in Gateway Park. You'll be able to purchase seasonal brews, ciders and wine as well as food from local food trucks, including tasty hot donuts from Mama's Donut Bites. We'll also have a different fashion truck on hand every week. Learn more
FRESHFARM Rosslyn Farmers Market
Wednesdays/4-8 p.m./Through October 25/Central Place Plaza, 1800 North Lynn St.
The Rosslyn Farmers Market is extending its season until the end of October! Shop fresh, local produce and enjoy other activities on the plaza, such as free live musical performances. October 11, don't miss a special bourbon tasting at the market, which we'll cohost with Barley Mac and Belle Isle Distillery. There will also be live music and other activities that day. The market is brought to you in partnership with FRESHFARM Market, a non-profit that promotes sustainable agriculture and improves food access and equity in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Learn more
Marine Corps Marathon – Rosslyn Finish Festival
Sunday, October 22/8 a.m.-4 p.m./U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial
Rosslyn is the proud home of the Finish Festival for the U.S. Marine Corps Marathon. Whether you're running in the marathon or the 10K, or just cheering on a friend, take advantage of the many activities going on here during race weekend. Finish Festival highlights include live music, a beer garden, booths and giveaways. The festival takes place along Meade and Lynn Streets, Fort Myer and Fairfax Drives, and Wilson Blvd. Learn more
Rosslyn Harvest Fest
Saturday, October 27 + Sunday, October 28/Central Place Plaza, 1800 North Lynn Street
For the first time in our neighborhood, enjoy the change of seasons and celebrate fall during Halloween weekend. Shop at our unique market of more than 20 vendors who will be offering unusual crafts, gifts and specialty food items. There will also be live entertainment and a veritable cornucopia of activities for everyone, including a pie eating contest, cornhole, pumpkin toss and a kids' and pets' costume contest. Learn more
