He says his experience across many countries has shown him the beauty of variety across Latin cultures.

“There are many things that make the various cultures similar, but many that also make them different, and show how diverse Latin culture is. This month reminds me of my family and my background. Latin people treat you like family, and when you come into Inca, we’ll treat you like family.”

Inca Social will also treat you to an incredible menu of Peruvian dishes from brunch to lunch and dinner!

“The lomo saltado is my go-to dish – veggies, shrimp, steak, or chicken, and you can make it spicy or sweet to change it how you like. I could eat that dish every day just by switching it up,” he says. “Aji de gallina (Peruvian chicken stew) is also one of my favorite dishes of all time – so delicious! And of course, you can’t go wrong with ceviche.”

Join Fito at Inca Social for Latin Heritage Happy Hours on Saturdays Oct. 1, Oct. 8, and Oct. 15, and next Wednesday, Oct. 5, for a special chef-crafted Peruvian fusionsix-course dinner.

Celebrate PARKing Day!

If you’re looking for the perfect outdoor spot to enjoy your lunch or just need a break from the office, check out the Rosslyn Parklet (Arlington’s first parklet!) on N. Oak Street between Wilson Blvd. and 18th Street.

Mary Dallao, director of active transportation programs for Arlington County Commuter Services, works on Oak Street and eats her lunch in the parklet whenever possible.

“If I find myself stuck inside for a day of meetings, I love ducking out, even if it’s just for 15 minutes, to take a break there,” she says. “It’s such a welcoming space and it always provides me with the perfect dose of fresh air and sunlight so I can stay focused for the rest of the day.”

Mary and the team from BikeArlington, WalkArlington, and Capital Bikeshare will be celebrating PARK(ing) Day near the parklet Friday, September 16, from 12-2 p.m. Drop by to say hi and test ride an e-bike or e-cargo bike!
