The Rosslyn Holiday Market is back for 2015, offering a low-stress shopping experience and lots of fun activities guaranteed to keep you in good cheer. The market runs Thursday, December 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, December 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
For the first time, the market will take place in Gateway Park, which will be tented and decorated with strings of white lights. Shoppers will be able to leisurely stroll through the park to browse high-quality and unique gifts from a variety of local vendors, including innovative jewelry, sweet treats, handmade clothing and photography.
Thursday's events will revolve around family-friendly activities, including winter-themed crafts and games. Have a free photo taken with Santa from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Plus, enjoy live jazz and food from local food trucks, which will be onsite from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Thursday’s activities will also include a special Pop-Up Boot Camp that will help attendees start the holiday season guilt-free. A professional trainer will lead participants through High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) – an exciting and intense cardio workout designed to burn as many as 1,000 calories per class. Registration for the boot camp will begin later this week.
On Friday, the Holiday Market will again feature a live jazz performance and local food truck dining from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In the evening, don't miss a free live performance from local cover band Jeff From Accounting. Beer and wine will be available for sale. Friday’s celebration will conclude with a bonfire and D.J. in Gateway Park West from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with hot food and drinks available for purchase.
The Rosslyn BID will conclude its annual clothing drive to benefit Arlington Street People's Assistance Network (A-SPAN) on the final day of the market, December 11. Look for A-SPAN's booth at the market to learn more about this initiative.
