Give back at the Holiday Clothing Drive
Various Rosslyn locations | Monday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 15
Clear out your closet while you give back this holiday season with our annual Holiday Clothing Drive! Since 2011, this drive has benefited our friends at PathForward, a local organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Arlington.
Dozens of donation boxes will be stationed in buildings across the Rosslyn neighborhood, where you can drop off adult-sized, gently used winter coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, and gloves in plastic bags.
Learn more about PathForward’s mission and how you can support the organization in this article featuring Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships, Liz Nohra.
Start the Rosslyn Cheer celebrations early at Central Place Plaza! Beginning at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 6, we'll be giving away free hot chocolate on a spoon while supplies last. Stop by the Rosslyn Trike to grab this tasty treat, which can easily be mixed it into a cup of hot milk for an instant cup of delicious hot chocolate.
One of our favorite holiday season traditions returns on Thursday, Dec. 7! Join us for music, raffles, an outdoor bar, and more, as we light Central Place Plaza with an array of holiday lights. Good Morning Washington’s Kidd O’Shea will also be there to help us count down live on air with ABC7!
Beer, wine, and spiked cider will be available to get you in the holiday "spirits". And if you need a snack to pair with your drink, Pop's Praiseworthy Popcorn will be selling their delicious kernels on the Plaza!
Rosslyn’s holiday festivities will continue on Friday, Dec. 8, with a dog-friendly evening! Bring your furry friends out to Central Place Plaza to enjoy pictures with Santa and pet goodie giveaways.
Happy Hour, which runs from 5-7 p.m., will include beer, wine, and spiked cider to warm you up, while your pup can enjoy a puppuccino or bone broth for a small donation, with proceeds benefiting R-DOGS. Dog-friendly vendor tables will be on-site as well to provide fun activities for you and your pets!
Central Place Plaza | Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We're bringing two days of local vendors, festive drinks, photo ops with Santa, and more! A variety of local vendors will be selling unique goods from art and jewelry to bath products, snacks, and more, perfect to get your holiday shopping started (or completed!).
Santa will be at the Plaza to take photos from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on both days, so don’t forget to drop off your letters for him at our North Pole mailbox or submit them virtually here! Free hot chocolate will also be available to warm you up while you enjoy a day of shopping, live music, and additional holiday programming.
In addition to all the fun happening on Central Place Plaza, across the way at Assembly there will be more holiday festivities happening on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Head over for brunch or coffee and enjoy festive holiday activities for the whole family!
